This is a notice for a technical seminar where engineers involved in busy daily operations of cutting processing can acquire skills to effectively utilize cutting CAE in practice.

Lecture Program 13:35 - 14:45 [Chatter Vibration in Cutting Processes and Its Countermeasures] Chatter vibration is a significant issue when aiming for high-speed and high-efficiency cutting. This session will explain the mechanisms of chatter vibration generation and the phenomenon itself, as well as provide specific countermeasures using CutPro, a tool developed and commercially available from the University of British Columbia. 14:45 - 15:45 [Practical Technical Drill for Utilizing AdvantEdgeFEM] We hold a monthly seminar to acquire cutting simulation technology for the sales and technical support of the cutting-specific finite element analysis software AdvantEdgeFEM. This session will cover practical topics such as CAD preparation material models and mesh parameters for users and those who have already participated in the technical acquisition seminar. 16:00 - 17:00 [Cutting CAE Consulting] After the two seminars mentioned above, there will be a consulting time for participants to discuss their issues with the instructor. Specific processing challenges are also welcome.
