[Case Study] Modification of Refrigerated and Freezer Containers for Marine Use
Enabling first-in, first-out! Introducing examples of modified refrigerated and frozen containers for maritime use!
We would like to introduce a case study of the modification of "refrigerated and frozen containers for marine use" undertaken by Foods Tech Co., Ltd. The raw materials delivered were temporarily stored in a frozen state until use, but since the container had doors only on one side, it was necessary to repeatedly load and unload the pallets inside. As a solution, the refrigeration unit was relocated to the ceiling, and a door was added to the side with the refrigeration unit, enabling first-in, first-out access with both doors. This ensures that materials can be used in the order they were received, allowing for significant labor savings by always using the older raw materials first. [Overview] ■ Background leading to the introduction - With doors on only one side, it was necessary to repeatedly load and unload the pallets inside to implement first-in, first-out access. ■ Solution - The refrigeration unit was relocated to the ceiling, and a door was added to the side with the refrigeration unit, enabling first-in, first-out access with both doors. - A roller conveyor was installed on the floor to allow two pallets loaded with goods to move in parallel inside. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
