[Successful Case of Wastewater Treatment] Polishing Leachate for Safe Treatment

We will introduce a case where the membrane separation system, a PCI membrane technology, was used to polish and safely treat leachate. The existing 15ha landfill in Damsdorf, Germany, lacked a waterproof bottom treatment and a leachate collection system, and was nearing its capacity. As a solution, a new site was constructed by dividing a 6ha area, with a total waste processing capacity of 3 million m3. The new site's focused leachate collection method minimized the time required to achieve methane generation.
