The Model 40A is a small piezo-resistive type accelerometer (acceleration pickup, accelerometer) designed to comply with the latest SAE J211/J2570 (AUG 2009) standards. Features of this model include a mechanical stop structure, internal temperature compensation, an anodized aluminum alloy body, and a flexible cable. The sensing element of this sensor is damped by liquid, which extends the operating frequency range and suppresses the effects of high frequencies due to resonance.
