The Effectiveness of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Leave it to us when it comes to real-time operating systems.

A real-time operating system (RTOS) is an operating system that, instead of having the ease of use and flexibility of a general-purpose OS, is specialized in processing tasks within a specified time limit, even under worst-case conditions. Due to its characteristics, it is often used in systems where delays in processing cannot occur, particularly in embedded devices such as factory machinery, home appliances, and automobiles, where delays can directly lead to accidents. Applications/Examples of results

Our company, Forks, has focused on the effectiveness of real-time operating systems since its founding. We have been handling two types of RTOS, "OS-9" and "QNX," and have supported the implementation of numerous embedded systems using these operating systems. Due to historical changes, "QNX" has changed its name to "Blackberry QNX" and is no longer part of our offerings. However, we are still involved in the sales and support of "OS-9" from a manufacturer’s perspective. With nearly 40 years of experience solely in the embedded industry, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Therefore, we are very skilled at custom responses to customer requests, such as porting from other operating systems or developing related driver software.
