The "FBI-Gauge" is a sensing system for strain and temperature that utilizes optical fibers as sensors. It allows for continuous measurement along the optical fiber, enabling not only point measurements but also continuous and extensive line and surface measurements. Since it does not use a large number of strain gauges or thermocouples, installation costs and time can be significantly reduced.
