The "Noto Peninsula Earthquake of Reiwa Year 6," which struck the Noto Peninsula on January 1, 2024, caused extensive damage. Our company has been engaged in support activities, albeit modestly, by providing generators in collaboration with local governments in the affected areas. With various supplies in short supply, roads have been cut off in many places, and restoring power after outages is taking time. Moreover, we have witnessed cases where generators, despite being available, could not operate due to a lack of gasoline. The limited passable roads are not only routes for supplies but also for emergency vehicles, making the supply of aid materials challenging. The second Sora Bear Sonaeru Project donation garden has been announced!
G&ECO has been promoting the initiative "1.5 for the future" since 2022, donating a portion of the sales from its own product "ELSONA" to non-profit organizations that support the introduction of renewable energy. As part of this effort, we continue to be a corporate supporter of the NPO Sorabear Fund. Following last year, we are once again sponsoring the "Sorabear Sonael Project," and we are pleased to report that the donation gardens have been decided and announced for the second public call held from July 1 to September 5, 2025. The "Sorabear Sonael Project" supports the utilization of renewable energy and enhances disaster preparedness by donating "portable power supplies" and "solar panels" to kindergartens attended by preschool children. Additionally, we hold an environmental and disaster education program called the "Sorabear Workshop" for the children, providing them with opportunities to learn about the environment and disasters in an enjoyable way. Through this project, we hope to contribute to the spread of renewable energy in the community and raise awareness among the children who will shape the future. G&ECO will continue to value "what we can do for the future" and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
