Application example: "Drinking Water Treatment: Ultrafiltration (UF)"

"Ultrafiltration (UF)" is an established method for treating drinking water, suitable for obtaining drinking water from various raw water sources. A slight pressure (< 0.1 MPa) is applied to the water to be treated, and it is passed through a permeable membrane with a pore size of approximately 0.01 μm. This allows for the removal of extremely fine particles, suspended matter, pollen, bacteria, and even viruses. Dissolved substances such as hardness salts, minerals, or molecules, as well as low molecular weight substances, pass through the membrane along with the water.
