Application Example: "Seawater Desalination: MED Method (Multi-Effect Distillation)"
Proposal for a water supply valve for the heat transfer pipe.
The MED method (Multi-Effect Distillation) is a seawater desalination process that utilizes the surplus heat from adjacent power plants and evaporates under progressively increasing negative pressure. The feedwater is repeatedly sprayed into heat exchange tubes that are heated from the inside by condensing steam through several stages. After evaporation, the water is condensed in the heat exchange tubes of the next chamber, and the latent heat is recovered. The distilled water obtained in this manner is extracted from the system.
