SCX Series - New Generation
Schütte introduces the SCX-32 as the first product of the new generation of multi-axis automatic lathes. The SCX series fully realizes the vision of a "multi-functional lathe" for the first time. This means that many machining methods of a highly productive machine concept are possible due to easy equipment changes and simple operation. To avoid the need for movable cables during drum indexing, continuous indexing of the spindle drum is made possible, minimizing the number of slip ring contacts. The water cooling of the spindle ensures the best thermal stability within the spindle drum, which is the heart of the multi-axis automatic lathe.

High-performance and powerful water-cooled motor spindles with continuous indexing capabilities allow for freely selectable rotational speeds on all main spindles. Standard equipment includes CNC composite machining slides at all cross machining positions. Turret functions for using additional or exchangeable tools are available at all positions. Drilling and milling operations using the Y-axis can be performed at all cross and end positions. There are no guides, drives, cables, or hoses, resulting in a very tidy and accessible workspace. A modular system kit for attachments and tools allows all units to be mounted in any position. Easy equipment changes are facilitated by a quick-change mounting interface for attachments. A standardized quick-change tooling system is available for tools. An inner coolant system capable of up to 100 bar is possible at all machining stations. Workpiece rear processing using two additional spindles and machining stations allows for the use of up to six fixed tools and rotating tools. All options for front processing, such as milling or polygon processing using the Y-axis, are also available for rear processing.
