Klaran WD is Asahi Kasei's UVC LED designed for air sterilization, surface sterilization, and flowing water sterilization applications. By adopting high-quality AIN (aluminum nitride) substrates from Christal IS, it achieves world-class output at 265 +/-5nm, which is highly effective against pathogens such as the novel coronavirus. The deep ultraviolet light emitted by this product is absorbed by the nucleic acids of DNA and RNA, which can disrupt the bonds of bases through excitation.
