The combination of a stable low installation height, high compressive strength, and low shear stiffness makes the SAW mount a versatile, high-performance vibration-damping rubber. By connecting two SAW elements in series, that is, stacking them on top of each other, high separation efficiency is achieved in both shear and compression. If greater deflection is needed within the vertical plane, the SAW mount is installed at a calculated angle configuration to provide the optimal spring rate.
