The highly versatile and high-performance Novibra brand SAW mount is a cylindrical rubber section equipped with two sturdy metal plates bonded together on the outside with an interleaf-type metal plate. It is designed to provide a low shear stiffness while generating a large compressive force with minimal deformation. The combination of a stable low installation height, high compressive strength, and low shear stiffness makes the SAW mount a high-performance vibration-damping rubber suitable for various applications. By connecting two SAW elements in series, meaning stacked on top of each other, a high separation efficiency is achieved in both shear and compression. When a greater deflection is required in the vertical plane, the SAW mount is installed at a calculated angle configuration to provide the optimal spring rate. Rubber hardness can be selected from 40 degrees and 60 degrees. The product is primarily produced in the UK, but there are also products made in China.
