The Novibra brand SAW mount is a cylindrical rubber section equipped with two square, sturdy metal plates bonded integrally to an outer interleaf-type metal plate. It is designed to provide a low shear stiffness rate while generating significant compressive force with minimal deformation. The combination of a stable low installation height, high compressive strength, and low shear stiffness makes the SAW mount a high-performance vibration-damping rubber suitable for various applications. By connecting two SAW elements in series, that is, stacking them on top of each other, high separation efficiency is achieved in both shear and compression. If greater deflection is required within the vertical plane, the SAW mount is installed at a calculated angle configuration to provide the optimal spring rate. Rubber hardness options are available in 40 degrees and 60 degrees. The product is primarily produced in the UK, but there may be instances of importing products made in China.
