Developed the industry's first digital picking system utilizing microwave power transmission technology.
Aioi System Co., Ltd. and Toshiba Infrastructure Systems Corporation have successfully developed a digital picking system that applies microwave power transmission technology for the first time in the industry. The two companies will demonstrate the jointly developed system at the TOPPAN Group booth during the International Logistics Comprehensive Exhibition 2024. For release information, please refer to the related materials. *1 Research by Toshiba Infrastructure Systems Corporation and Aioi System Co., Ltd. *2 Microwave power transmission: A technology that uses microwaves to wirelessly transmit electricity over long distances. The microwave power transmission system converts current into electromagnetic waves for power transmission and then converts it back into direct current at the receiving side's rectifier circuit. It is common to use very high frequencies such as 920 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.7 GHz. *3 A digital picking system is a picking support system that utilizes a display device. Workers in factories and logistics centers go to the location indicated by the illuminated lamps on the display and retrieve the number of items shown. This picking operation, conducted according to the display's instructions, enables accurate and speedy picking tasks.
