Brass Dutch Insert (Standard Type) "HSD"
This is an insert used after resin molding.
The brass duct insert (standard type) "HSD" is designed to insert an insert nut into a formed hole during molding using a press-fit or heat-fit method to create threads. It is an expanded type insert nut used after molding, with a tip that has a cross-slit knurling and a shape that is narrowed with an expansion plate inside. It is pressed into the resin hole from the knurled tip, and by pushing down the expansion plate with a punch, the tip is expanded outward, allowing the knurling to grip firmly into the resin. Therefore, it can also be used when the boss thickness is relatively thin. Additionally, because it is an expansion type, it can accommodate a wide range of applications regardless of the material of the counterpart. For more details, please download the catalog.
