Silicone rubber 3D printer contract processing

We will respond to the needs for small-scale production using the LAM method silicone 100% 3D printer "L320" and simple resin mold manufacturing.

Until now, the production of trial molds and the machining of rubber sheets have been common practices. In the prototyping and small-scale production of silicone rubber, we have started contract processing using the LAM method 3D printer "L320" for molding, as well as creating simple resin molds with a 3D printer to shape silicone rubber. In machining, significant waste can occur depending on the shape, as the flat plates used as raw materials are machined. Additionally, the high costs associated with mold production make it difficult to easily conduct prototypes. Our contract processing using 3D printers employs the LAM method (Liquid Additive Manufacturing), which significantly reduces waste and lowers costs. Our proprietary technology, "Crosslinking Bonding (patent pending)," allows for the production of various shapes. Furthermore, producing with simple resin molds can be done at a lower cost compared to creating trial molds from materials like aluminum. Please contact us as there may be limitations on the shapes we can accommodate.

basic information

■LAM method 3D printer (L320) contract processing This is a 3D printed product made with DOW's "SILASTICTM LSR (liquid silicone)." Due to the thermal crosslinking process, it is possible to manufacture products with physical properties identical to mass-produced items. Additionally, by using crosslinking bonding for combined molding, it is possible to create various shapes while maintaining strength. ■Contract processing using simple resin molds This method involves creating simple resin molds with a 3D printer, injecting liquid silicone, and curing it to produce the final product.

Applications/Examples of results

Before creating the mold ■ Shape confirmation for silicone rubber projects is possible Additionally, shape modifications can be easily accommodated. ■ Prototyping and actual use of silicone parts for the food industry ■ Products for wet environments: waterproof gaskets ■ Prototyping shapes for soft rubber and resin Shape confirmation before mold production For small quantity projects, mass production can be handled with 3D printing. For large batch projects, extrusion molding and press molding can be accommodated.
