[Mathematica Introduction Case] Research and Education in Particle Physics

An example of experimental research utilizing particles called neutrinos.

At the Tohoku University Neutrino Science Research Center, we would like to introduce examples of how 'Mathematica' has been utilized in research and education in particle physics, as well as in writing reference books. It is mainly used for symbolic calculations of complex equations, checking for errors in manual calculations, and verifying propositions that cannot be mathematically proven by using random numbers. There are commands that intuitively simplify equations, and its stable performance is also one of its appealing features, as we have received feedback. 【Product Highlights】 ■ Capable of symbolic calculations for complex equations ■ Can perform various types of calculations, such as factoring and calculating eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices ■ Allows verification of the correctness of manual calculations by substituting random numbers for parameters ■ Enables easy creation of diagrams and graphs ■ Stable performance *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
