Wear of the screw can be broadly classified into corrosive wear occurring in the metering section and wear due to thrust loads near the boundary between the feed section and the compression section. These types of wear can be mitigated by using sintered hard alloy KH. The cylinder is structured to have an inner lining of hard alloy KH through shrink fitting.
