[Column on High-Frequency Heating] Differences Between Induction Heating and Dielectric Heating

I will briefly explain the differences between induction heating and dielectric heating! Please take a moment to read it.

In this column, we introduce the differences between induction heating and dielectric heating. Induction heating refers to the phenomenon where metal is heated by "induced currents/eddy currents" that are induced in the metal by an alternating magnetic field generated from the current flowing through a heating coil (also called a work coil or inductor). Additionally, materials containing moisture and plastics with bipolar characteristics are heated by dielectric heating. Our company proposes the fundamentals of cause investigation and solutions to our customers based on the basic principles of induction heating and dielectric heating. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
