Digital information such as electricity usage from high-voltage smart meters used in factories and large-scale facilities is collected in real-time via Route B and sent to a cloud server. By utilizing application software on the server side, we will build an energy management system that visualizes electricity consumption and monitors demand. ■Purpose of the System The system collects digital information such as electric power from high-voltage smart meters used in factories and large-scale facilities in real-time via Route B and sends it to a cloud server. By utilizing application software on the server side, it enables the visualization of power consumption and demand monitoring, thereby constructing an energy management system. ■System Configuration The system is composed of the IoT gateway "LXG-600," which acquires power data in accordance with the ECHONET Lite standard from high-voltage smart meters and enables FTP/MQTTS communication via the LTE network, a 4G-compatible mobile communication network, and IoT platforms such as AWS along with power monitoring applications. When controlling on-site air conditioning units and outdoor units using demand values, device control via the MQTTS protocol is possible. Note that customization to comply with the Modbus specifications of each manufacturer is required for the control of air conditioning units and similar devices.

The collected data can be obtained via Modbus-TCP. The acquired data can be utilized for energy management services, demand monitoring, and electricity sales calculation, among others. It is also compatible with the second generation of low voltage smart power meters that will be installed sequentially starting in 2025.
