The "Comm Assist-100XP2" is the successor to the CommAssist-100XP, featuring upgraded functions from the previous model, including browser-based settings. ■Transparent and Interactive Modes (Socket Protocol) Supports a transparent mode that only performs protocol conversion for communication between the RS-232C side and the network side, and an interactive mode that allows detailed monitoring of RS-232C signal line status, buffer levels, etc., using commands from the network. ■External and Embedded Types You can choose between a box type that is installed externally using a D-sub connector and a board type that is integrated into the device using a special connector. ■Ethernet Transfer Speed Automatically recognizes 100Mbps and 10Mbps, eliminating the need for configuration based on Ethernet transfer speed. ■Easy Initial Setup A utility is provided for easily setting the IP address from the network. Additionally, you can change configuration values and check status using a web browser or Telnet. It is also possible to change settings from the RS-232C. ■Version Upgrade You can easily upgrade to the latest version by downloading the upgrade file and using USB.
