[Case Study of 3D CAD Software for Mechanical Design] Nitto Kohki Co., Ltd.
[Free Case Studies Available] Interference occurrences approach zero, and 2D drawings for assembly processes become unnecessary!
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "iCAD SX" at Nitto Koshin Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the design and manufacturing of labor-saving systems such as various inspections and high-speed counting machines. In response to requests from the design review (DR), assembly department, and customers who wanted to "confirm with a 3D image," we began full-scale operations in 3D design. By establishing the minimum necessary operational rules and customizing the operation menu, we steadily transitioned to 3D design using a small start approach. The thorough utilization of the 3D viewer has enabled manufacturing without assembly drawings. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■Challenges - Customer requests to "see 3D drawings" - The necessity within the internal design department to "identify issues before assembly" - Even with careful attention in 2D design, details such as interference were overlooked, leading to rework during the assembly process. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Summary of Other Cases】 ■Results - The causes of rework due to design have significantly decreased. - Assembly work has become smoother, and inquiries to designers have greatly reduced. - The workload for wiring diagrams and control software design has been alleviated, leading to a significant reduction in rework. - The opportunities for meetings via web conferencing systems have increased, reducing the burden of physical travel. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
