basic information
▼Background of Implementation When Arina Health's four hospitals sought to transition from a manual temperature monitoring system to an automated one, they were looking for a solution that not only met the core requirements of real-time alert notifications and automated data acquisition for compliance reporting but also aimed to become the standard for the entire healthcare system. ▼Implemented Solution They chose STANLEY Healthcare's Wi-Fi-based AeroScout environmental monitoring solution, which includes MobileView software, as the standard for the entire system. Initially implemented in the four hospitals, the AeroScout environmental monitoring solution was later rolled out to seven additional hospitals. Furthermore, they continue to pursue innovative initiatives that leverage the asset tracking and management capabilities of the AeroScout solution while also considering investments in other real-time location system (RTLS) applications.

Applications/Examples of results
In implementing and utilizing asset tracking, Alina Health learned two important lessons. The first is to carefully consider what data needs to be collected for each type of asset. Even for the same type of asset, the data collected may differ by manufacturer. The second important lesson is to tag new assets as soon as they arrive. "You must not take your eyes off them until they are tagged. Once they are out of your hands, it becomes difficult or impossible to find them and incorporate them into the system."
