Innodisk solves the issues related to data retention of SSDs at high temperatures.
Flash memory is a non-volatile storage medium. This means that the data on an SSD (Solid State Drive) is retained without the need for power. However, there are several factors that can lead to data loss or degradation. Data retention time: Temperature & P/E cycles High temperatures and frequent program (write)/erase (P/E) cycles can both have a significant impact on data retention. All cells in flash memory hold negative charges that represent binary (base-2) values (for example, 01, 10, etc.). These cells are generally very good at retaining this charge, but some of it is leaking now. Error correction codes are usually very effective at retrieving this and solving the problem. However, in high-temperature environments, the rate of leakage increases. Tests have shown that the data retention of standard MLC flash decreases by 168 times when transitioning from 40°C to 85°C. .......For more information, please refer to the PDF file.
