The flowability of polymers cannot be predicted because it is "non-linear." This is also why the melt index (MI), which should be an indicator of flowability, often does not match the actual moldability. The more complex flow known as elongational viscosity is particularly difficult to predict accurately, and the only way to obtain reliable data is to measure it in the same range as the actual molding speed. ◎ A computer-controlled twin capillary rheometer with two measuring cylinders. ◎ No regular calibration work by the operator is required! ◎ Automatic calibration with a platinum sensor (high precision 0.01%, temperature stability 0.0003%/°C, long-term variation rate 0.001%/year). ◎ The barrel is divided into three zones, each independently controlled for temperature. The overall temperature uniformity of the barrel is excellent! ◎ The temperature control sensor is installed in a newly developed knuckle heater, very close to the center of the barrel.
