We would like to introduce a successful case study of Zero Seiko Co., Ltd.'s aluminum high-pressure coolant hose. Zero Seiko, which produces precision parts related to aerospace, defense, and hydraulic equipment, discharges coolant liquid between the workpiece and the cutting tool when machining parts on a CNC lathe to suppress heat generated by cutting. Previously, they used bent copper pipes fixed with cable ties, which had some play and instability. Although the pressure was not particularly high at 2 MPa, they struggled with the time required for adjustments due to chips flying and hitting the pipes, causing changes in direction. By using our product, the i-TOOL coolant hose, they were able to supply coolant liquid for long periods without the hose shifting, allowing for pinpoint accuracy.
