[Cutting Report] HORN S45C Finish Machining Case After Grooving Processing
Finishing process after groove machining: Conducted breaker variation and surface roughness comparison tests!
The material being machined this time is S45C, and we conducted groove cutting using three different types of HORN breakers to compare the surface roughness (Ra) at the bottom of the grooves. The cutting speeds were compared at 180 m/min and 150 m/min, with a depth of cut of 0.5 mm at the bottom of the groove. Each breaker has its own characteristics, and you should be able to see the differences in surface roughness. If you are facing challenges in machining that requires high surface roughness, please refer to this information. The suitable breakers for finishing have produced high-precision results comparable to precision finishing grades. *For detailed content of the column, please refer to the related links.
