Joetsu Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. was founded in 1804 and will celebrate its 220th anniversary in 2024, making it a historic sake brewery. Production was halted during World War II but resumed in 1956. In 1995, it received an excellence award at the 77th Kanto-Shinetsu National Tax Agency Sake Competition. In 2021, due to business succession, it became a subsidiary of Nippon Toter Co., Ltd., and began manufacturing with new equipment in 2022. Specialized Technical Field The specialized technical field is "brewing." It primarily uses sake rice such as "Yamada Nishiki," "Koshitanrei," and "Gohyaku Mangoku" to produce sake. The main brands are "Echigo Bijin" and "Koshi no Wakaba."
