The body and all wetted parts of the MK978 stainless steel control valve are made of ASTM A479-316L bar stock. The product is sealed at the stem by a Jorlon diaphragm that is FDA approved and USP Class VI certified, and comes with a lifetime warranty. The valve stem has sufficient structural strength in any mounting orientation due to two long PEEK guide bushings and an integrated stainless steel NAMUR yoke. The sliding parts of the valve stem and plug are located outside the diaphragm wetted area at the top of the valve. This product features a secondary stem seal and provides additional retention through extended guide bushings, ensuring self-drainage regardless of the mounting orientation.
