The manufacturing of coil materials and other long materials (cables and wires) results in elongated products (metal coil materials are welded at the ends, and cable materials use joints), necessitating automatic detection of weld seams. In the case of tubes, cans, or drums, automatic detection of weld seams is required along with positioning of the material for further processing. For example, in the case of pipe materials, there is a signal output function that stops the seam position at a specified angle in preparation for the next bending process. The appropriate combination of sensors for the SND40 enables the detection of longitudinal weld seams in all metal tubes, cans, and drums, as well as the detection of end weld seams in coil materials, cables, and wire materials.
