Small sample laboratory-type viscometer
It is possible to measure the viscosity of a small sample liquid of just 2ml. This is effective for measuring the viscosity of expensive sample liquids in biochemistry and drug development.
The measurement principle is based on free fall, and the measuring section moves the piston back and forth using electromagnetic force. The structure is extremely simple and has good cleanability. The measurement range is 0-10,000 cP, subdivided into 12 ranges, with a measurement ratio of 20:1 for each range. 【Features】 ◆ High precision measurement values ◆ Ease of maintenance and high performance ◆ Minimal sample requirement ◆ Over 8,000 units delivered worldwide
basic information
The VISCOlab 4000 is a compact laboratory (benchtop) viscometer, and it is possible to maintain a constant temperature control of the fluid by using an optional circulating jacket. Additionally, in combination with the built-in temperature sensor, it performs temperature-corrected viscosity measurements, offering high accuracy and excellent reproducibility.

Promotion of the effectiveness of viscosity measurement for very small sample liquids.
A U.S. biotech company has adopted the Cambridge VISCOlab 5000 for viscosity measurement of micro-samples for the development of an injectable drug for brain aneurysms. This viscosity measurement device requires only a sample volume of 0.075cc, achieving accurate and reliable measurements while significantly reducing costs. Viscosity measurement is performed automatically by simply placing the sample liquid into the measurement chamber, and the liquid temperature is also automatically controlled, leading to highly effective results.

Viscometer for managing lens coating in medical devices
Challenges faced by medical device and optical lens manufacturers. Is it not the management of coatings? ★ The global eyewear industry, including protective safety glasses, launched in 2020 at a staggering price of $150 billion, and the COVID-19 pandemic significantly accelerated demand. Hospitals and medical facilities are ordering safer glasses and face shields. ★ In addition to face masks needed worldwide, or as a substitute, face shields are being worn in schools and retail. ★ Recently, Cambridge Viscosity published a case study regarding Honeywell's Industrial Safety Group in Smithfield, Rhode Island. ★ This group has significantly improved its manufacturing capacity for safety goggles in response to the demand for PPE (personal protective equipment) from laboratories and hospitals. ★ The demand for eyewear is further increasing, supported by the suggestion that glasses help prevent people from touching their faces, and corrective lenses or sunglasses may further enhance protection from airborne droplets.
