Eams Robotics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, Representative Director: Eiji Soya) has been selected for the grant project "Development of a Control System and Element Technologies for Drone One-to-Many Operations Utilizing Remote ID" under the "Realization Project/Research and Development Item for Social Implementation of Next-Generation Air Mobility" publicly solicited by the National Research and Development Agency, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). <Project Purpose> In the future, Japan will face a decrease in population and an aging society, leading to a decline in industrial productivity. This project aims to have unmanned aerial vehicles play a significant role. Until now, unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones, have been operated by a single pilot controlling one aircraft. One-to-many operations aim to improve efficiency and reduce costs by allowing one pilot to operate multiple aircraft. Additionally, the short flight time, which has been a drawback of drones, can be mitigated by having multiple aircraft fly in succession, thereby fulfilling their roles over a longer duration.
