Case Study of 100 Million Pixel Camera for Drones - Wind Turbine Edition
Helps ensure reliable inspection operations! In addition to high sensitivity characteristics, it achieves a wide dynamic range.
We would like to introduce examples of the overseas use of the Phase One high-resolution 100-megapixel camera 'iXM-100', developed for drone mounting. The subject of this shoot was a wind turbine. Even with subjects that are white and difficult to distinguish, like the blades of a wind turbine, each image made it easy to identify key features, allowing for seamless stitching. Additionally, due to the extremely high resolution, we found that even when maintaining a safe distance from the subject, we could still obtain sufficiently clear images. 【Shooting Environment】 ■ Location: Overseas, Denmark ■ Shooting Environment: Aerial photography from a drone, ensuring safety while shooting from approximately 10 meters away ■ Drone: DJI Matrice 300 ■ Camera: Phase One iXM-100 100-megapixel camera ■ Camera Settings: Aperture f/8, ISO 160, Shutter Speed 1/1250 ■ Lens Used: 80mm AF (autofocus) lens (approximately equivalent to 63mm on a 35mm sensor) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
