The hydrogen sulfide gas generated by the sulfuric acid treatment and wastewater treatment facilities in recycled paper, board, and cardboard manufacturing plants is removed to protect the surrounding equipment from corrosion failures caused by hydrogen sulfide gas. In some cases, equipment bases are coated as a gas countermeasure, but the coating cannot be applied to the connector parts. Unless hydrogen sulfide gas is removed, corrosion failures caused by hydrogen sulfide gas cannot be prevented.
