Eaton's high-performance, robust, and compact T cam switch & P load disconnector is used in industrial, commercial, and construction engineering applications. There are 10 types of basic switches (TM, T0, T3, T5, T5B, T6, T8, P1, P3, P5) with 4 mounting options (surface mount, flat mount, rear mount, and service distribution board mount). The T-Cam switch is a product that represents a highly flexible, compact, and robust modular system. The rated sizes TM, T0, T3, T5B, T5, T6, and T8 have a rated power of 6.5 kW to 132 kW, AC-23 A, 400/415 V, and 50 to 60 Hz. The rated non-stop current Iu ranges from 10A to 315A. It is suitable for various switching applications, and customized circuits can be manufactured according to customer requirements. A load disconnect switch is a switch installed near a motor that directly disconnects the power circuit to the motor. This type of switch has not traditionally existed in Japan, but it is gradually spreading in the Japanese market due to the increasing awareness of safety. By opening and locking this switch, which is close to the operator, it prevents accidental startup during trial runs, maintenance inspections, and repairs, ensuring the safety of the workers. T-type cam switches are widely used for various operations in distribution panels, control panels, monitoring panels, and industrial machinery. The application greatly varies depending on how they are operated. The push-pull type is used in operations where careless handling could lead to serious hazards, such as in chemical plants or transportation and transfer machinery, requiring thorough situation checks right before operation and interlocking. The automatic reset type is used for fine movement operations of machinery. On the other hand, the rotary type is used for sequential starting of motor groups and for connecting power factor correction capacitors. Our P-type load switches are housed in a double-insulated structure, making them ideal for motor circuits in harsh environments.
