We would like to inform you that Nippon Steel Corporation (President: Toshio Matsuo, Headquarters: Shinagawa, Tokyo) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nippon Steel M&E Corporation (President: Kanade Ueda, Headquarters: Muroran, Hokkaido), have concluded a merger agreement at the board meetings of both companies held today (January 19, 2026) to absorb Nippon Steel M&E Corporation into Nippon Steel Corporation effective April 1, 2026.
