Micro-Crimp Ultra-Compact Rectangular Connector
Ultra-compact rectangular connector with micro-D-like crimp contact type.
For those who wish they could use crimp contacts with Micro-D connectors, we recommend considering Glenair's "Micro-Crimp Connector"! While it cannot be directly mated with Micro-D connectors, it is a crimp contact type, eliminating concerns associated with soldering (such as special skills and variations in assembly quality). Additionally, it boasts advanced EMC and environmental performance. There is also a lineup that supports high-speed data link protocols such as 10G Ethernet, USB 3.0, HDMI, and SATA.
basic information
The Series 79 Micro-Crimp family of connectors features .075 inch (1.9 mm) pitch crimping, with #23 size contacts for rear release, as well as #12 size, #16 size power contacts, and coaxial crimp contacts. Additionally, it supports ElOchito contacts (8-pole) and Quadrax contacts (4-pole) for high-speed data link applications. The ultra-thin Series 79 is characterized by robust EMI performance and environmental sealing. The next-generation Series 791 connectors are suitable for manned spaceflight applications, featuring a scoop-proof shell design, mis-insertion prevention shape, and sturdy EMI grounding fingers. The Series 792 is designed for 10G Ethernet, USB 3.0, HDMI, SATA, and DisplayPort high-speed applications, accommodating ElOchito contacts (8-pole) and industry-standard quadrax contacts (4-pole). (*) Scoop-proof: A design where the connector shell surrounding the contacts is elongated for protection.
