Orifice for the Aerospace Industry "Lee Restrictor"
"The Benchmark Restrictor" in the aerospace industry.
The Lee Company's high-precision flow restrictors have become the industry standard for manufacturers worldwide. Lee's excellent flow limiting devices are used in critical applications throughout aircraft (see examples of achievements at the bottom of this page). Lee offers both "single orifice restrictors" and "multi orifice restrictors" to meet the needs of various applications. The multi-orifice configuration improves resistance to contamination and reduces the likelihood of cavitation. Lee Jets, Bender Jets, and Visco Jets are all 100% tested for bidirectional flow with strict tolerances and come with protective screens against debris and contamination. All of these are made of stainless steel, capable of withstanding high operating pressures, and utilize Lee's expanded control technology lock ends for ease of installation and retention. All products are designed to be extremely lightweight while providing strength far beyond their size. They are guaranteed to deliver excellent performance in any environment.
basic information
Lee Jet (Single Orifice) It is one of the simplest restrictors and also one of the most proven and reliable. It was first used in the 1960s to supply oxygen to the astronauts during the first moonwalk, and since then, it has been incorporated into nearly every aircraft design. Throat diameter equivalent: 0.128~0.8800 mm, flow rate tolerance: +/- 2%. Lee Bender Jet (Multi Orifice) It uses multiple orifices in series. By passing through several orifices with a larger diameter than a single orifice, it achieves a throttling effect equivalent to that of a small diameter single orifice. Protected by two screens for bidirectional use. Throat diameter equivalent: Φ0.23~2mm, flow rate tolerance: ±5%. Lee Visco Jet (Multi Orifice) This is one of our most unique innovations. It creates a highly complex fluid pathway with a series of individual spin chambers and orifices. This allows for a 25-fold increase in flow path at the same throat diameter equivalent, resulting in a corresponding decrease in velocity. (Refer to the video for how it works) It can accommodate operating pressures of up to 5000 psi.
