We would like to introduce the polarization elimination plate for those troubled by polarization dependence in light-receiving systems.

Effective for adding mirrors and diffraction gratings! Capable of converting linear polarization to random polarization.

Our polarization compensation plates are characterized by their ability to flexibly accommodate various shapes and wedge angles, utilizing processing technology based on crystal substrates (wedge plates). Therefore, we can propose products suitable for your light source (beam diameter, wavelength, etc.) starting from just one piece. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.*

basic information

A depolarizer is an optical element that creates a non-polarized state with various mixed polarization from a specific polarization state. It is also referred to as a depolarizer or scrambler. In a typical type of this element, two wedge-shaped birefringent crystals are bonded together, and the orientation of the optical axes of each crystal is set so that they are not parallel to each other. In this case, there is little deviation in the optical axis of the transmitted light. When incident light passes through this type of element, the polarization state changes due to the difference in the orientation of the optical axes of the two crystals. Additionally, due to the difference in thickness of each crystal, the phase varies continuously depending on the location. These two changes create a non-polarized state with mixed polarization.
