Kaken Tech has successfully developed the world's first special-shaped silver powder! Utilizing the characteristics of the chestnut-shaped silver powder, we introduce the silver paste TK Paste CR-2800, which exhibits conductivity even with a low silver content. What is the mechanism that allows conductivity despite the low silver content? The convex and concave parts of the chestnut shape fit together (like a plug and socket), allowing for more contact opportunities between the silver particles. As a result, it is possible to conduct electricity even with a small amount of silver. Why does the usage amount double compared to conventional products? Due to the reasons mentioned above, TK Paste CR-2800 has a low silver content (about 50 wt%). Other silver pastes with similar performance contain about 80 wt% silver, so when comparing the specific gravity of the pastes, the specific gravity of TK Paste CR-2800 is about half that of other silver pastes. When the specific gravity is halved, the volume doubles for the same weight, allowing TK Paste CR-2800 to be used at approximately double the amount.
