Serum-free medium for mesenchymal stem cells 'STK Series'

The STK series enables serum-free culture of MSCs and, due to its chemically defined composition, is a useful tool for future MSC research.

Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC), one type of somatic stem cell, possess the ability to differentiate or transdifferentiate into cartilage, bone, ligaments, fat, muscle, and blood vessels, and can be isolated from living tissues such as bone marrow with minimal discomfort. Therefore, they are attracting attention as transplantable stem cells for regenerative medicine. Traditionally, the in vitro amplification and differentiation induction of MSCs required fetal bovine serum (FBS) or autologous human serum (derived from the patient's own blood), but the STK series allows for serum-free culture of MSCs and is composed of chemically defined media, making it a useful tool for future MSC research. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

**Product Lineup and Features** STK1 - Serum-free Medium for Primary Mesenchymal Stem Cells (For Primary Culture) Mesenchymal stem cells can be established from bone marrow, adipose tissue, and synovial tissue. ● Features - Promotes rapid adhesion of mesenchymal stem cells to culture materials. - Selectively enhances the proliferation of mesenchymal stem cells. STK2 - Serum-free Medium for Mesenchymal Stem Cells (For Proliferation Culture) Suitable for the proliferation culture of mesenchymal stem cells. Achieves excellent proliferation while maintaining high differentiation potential. ● Features - Provides superior proliferation and maintenance of differentiation potential compared to conventional media supplemented with bovine fetal serum (FBS) or commercially available mesenchymal stem cell media. - Effective for culture using hydroxyapatite as a scaffold. - No need for coating with extracellular matrix or other substances on culture materials. STK3 - Serum-free Medium for Bone Differentiation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (For Bone Differentiation) Highly efficient in inducing bone differentiation, significantly shortening the culture period. ● Features - Reduces the culture period required for bone differentiation from approximately 21 days to about 7 days. - Mitigates differences in differentiation potential expression between cell lots.
