The plate fin cooler is a coil element made by pressing various thin metal plates onto tubes (heat transfer pipes), similar to a plate fin heater. To create water channels or water chambers, U-bend tube bundles (headers) and tubes are attached through suitable welding processes for the materials and housed within a duct-type casing made of steel plates.
