The "FS-FC" is a flow meter that operates according to the variable area principle. A float is suspended in a medium flowing upward through a tapered plastic tube. The vertical position of the float within the measuring tube depends on the flow rate of the medium. The measuring tube is marked with appropriate flow units (usually in a 10:1 flow range), and the value corresponding to the top of the float is read.
