Space-grade PTFE liner bearings suitable for temperatures down to -195℃.

Developed self-lubricating liner bearings for space rockets that achieve low temperature (-195℃), no grease required, and low friction and low wear!

In the space environment, selecting grease can be challenging due to a wide range of temperatures and evaporation under vacuum conditions; however, a special PTFE liner that can withstand temperatures down to -195°C has addressed these issues. 【Features】 • Mainly bonded to the sliding surfaces of bearings/bushings • Heat resistance from -195°C to +232°C fits special environments such as space and engines • Low friction • No grease required • Chemical resistance to common aviation hydraulic fluids 【Product Description】 • A non-lubricated liner made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fibers, woven with resin and auxiliary fibers for strength and durability, featuring low friction performance. • The liner is bonded to the sliding parts of metal spherical bearings, rod end bearings, rod assemblies, and bushings.

basic information

Since its development and patenting of self-lubricating PTFE liners for Corvette suspensions in 1958, Transport Dynamics has been involved in the advancement of self-lubricating liners for aerospace applications. Even now, we are engaged in product development that meets diverse needs, including harsh temperature environments in space and aircraft engines, high loads specific to aircraft, and low-cost liners tailored for general industrial applications. 【Product Examples】 - Low temperature environment -196℃: Space products / Fibriloid CR - High temperature environment +316℃: Aircraft engines / Fabroid X - Oscillating motion 11m/min: Helicopters / Fibriloid - Dynamic load 207MPa: Aircraft / Fiberglide V - Dynamic load 207MPa & +232℃: Missile steering sections / Fabroid IIG2 - Adhesive bonding possible with most metals (adhesives are custom products selected by RBC)

Applications/Examples of results

In addition, our company imports and sells bearings and machined parts specialized for aerospace. Manufacturers certified with AS9100 collaborate with major aircraft manufacturers such as the U.S. military, NASA, Boeing, and Lockheed. Below are some examples of our successes: - Fuse pins (achieving emergency breakage in the design of large hollow pins with required loads and high-precision breakage modes) - HVOF coating (coating actuator sliding surfaces to enhance lifespan; an alternative technology to hard chrome plating) - Track roller bearings for aircraft wings (manufacturers also possess rare testing equipment capable of QT) - Special alloy bearings and bushings (titanium, CuNiSn, Inconel) - Drum-shaped roller bearings (grease spreads uniformly around the circumference even under oscillation of wing components, achieving long lifespan) - Ultra-thin ball bearings (thin designs adopted for large flap drive devices) - Tapered roller bearings (standardly used for landing wheels)
