Research has shown that the metabolic products of lactic acid bacteria generated through long-term fermentation enhance plant immunity while also providing antibiotic effects. Plant activators are produced by re-fermenting and aging food by-products with lactic acid bacteria and yeast, and they are rich in the metabolic products of lactic acid bacteria.
