Water quality analysis for dialysis water
Testing of chemical contaminants: 12 items of dialysis water quality standards.
The international standard for the management of dialysis water (ISO 13959) specifies 22 items related to chemical contaminants as management items. In Japan, the Japan Society for Dialysis Therapy and the Japan Association of Clinical Engineers have presented the "Dialysate Water Quality Standards" as criteria for the management of dialysis water. According to the Dialysate Water Quality Standards, 12 out of the 22 chemical contaminants are designated as management targets, and they must be maintained below the management standard values (maximum concentrations) under the supervision of the Dialysis Equipment Safety Management Committee.
