Plastic prototype

Are you having trouble with plastic prototypes?

The purposes of prototyping plastic products vary. Typical examples include: 1. I want to conduct prototyping to confirm the properties of new materials. 2. I want to prototype to verify quality, functionality, and design shape. 3. I want to prototype to see market reactions. 4. I want to conduct prototyping with the premise of mass production. [Response Examples] 1. Depending on the type of new material, we will use appropriate molding methods and keep the shape to the minimum necessary for performance verification, focusing on performance testing. 2 and 3. If confirming design shape, we can choose materials without restrictions, including 3D printing or vacuum casting using silicone rubber molds. For molds, we can use simple molds that are relatively inexpensive to manufacture, as well as wooden or resin molds. Naturally, machining is also an option. 4. Since this is prototyping before mass production, it serves as a final adjustment to mold under the same conditions and molding methods as mass production. Our company was founded on plastic molding and has responded to various customer requests. With a wide network of partner companies, we can accommodate various molding methods and assist with your prototyping needs. Please feel free to consult with us.

Applications/Examples of results

Here are two representative examples of prototype molding that our company is involved in. Both are examples of prototype molding for performance verification of new materials. 1. Rainbow Technology Co., Ltd. - Prototype molding of resin with metal short fibers Our relationship began through Ipros. Rainbow Technology focuses on its casting business, and one of its metal products is KC Metal Fiber, a type of metal short fiber. This material is used in brake pads and other applications, and research is being conducted to incorporate this metal short fiber into resin to impart functional characteristics such as thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding to plastic products. Our company is collaborating with Rainbow Technology on injection molding using these pellets containing metal short fibers. For more details, please refer to the related catalog "KC Metal Fiber Materials (Rainbow Technology Co., Ltd.)." 2. Shinshu University Faculty of Engineering - Prototype molding of magnetic composite materials The Faculty of Engineering at Shinshu University is conducting research on improving the efficiency of motors using magnetic composite materials. Our company is assisting with the prototype molding of these magnetic composite materials. This magnetic composite material requires the magnetic powder to be solidified with resin, and our mold design and compression molding technology are being utilized in this process.
