Agriculture: Fertilizer - Chinese Magnesium Sulfate
There are two types registered as fertilizers: anhydrous salt and heptahydrate salt. In addition to being used as raw materials for compound fertilizers and blended fertilizers, they can also be used as base fertilizers and top dressings.
Magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) is a fast-acting fertilizer material that is easily soluble in water. It can be used not only in compound fertilizers and blended fertilizers (BB fertilizers) but also as a base fertilizer and top dressing. Magnesium is a key element for plant growth as it is a component of chlorophyll and helps activate enzyme reactions and aids in the absorption of phosphorus. When magnesium is deficient, yellowing of the leaves occurs, leading to a condition known as magnesium deficiency, which results in reduced photosynthetic ability. Magnesium sulfate is water-soluble and fast-acting, making it very effective against magnesium deficiency.
