[Example of Problem Solving] Treatment of Plum Flavoring Waste Liquid (High Salt Concentration)
Introducing case studies that solve issues such as installation space, cost reduction, and difficult disassembly processing!
The seasoned plum waste liquid had high salt and BOD concentrations, leading to ongoing troubles and increasing costs. Additionally, the seasoned waste liquid was also strong acid waste, and processing it as industrial waste resulted in significantly high costs. At that time, the daily volume of waste liquid classified as industrial waste was 3m3, with a processing cost of ¥90,000 per day. Therefore, we proposed the "Bio-RESE" system using special microorganisms (halophiles) that can handle high-salt waste liquids. Without changing the capacity of the existing aeration tank, we repurposed the circulation tank from an overflow tank to establish the BJ system. As a result, we achieved a BOD decomposition of 450 kg per day.
